The NEW rules go into effect  on October 18th of this year.  Included in the rule changes is a 36 month look-back period.  What does this mean to the clients that have already signed and turned in their VA Pension application and to the clients that have yet to do so?

Clients that have already signed and completed the application process through your practice will not be affected by the look-back period or the new asset limit.  Now is the time to make a push for the clients that might have been taking their time turning in information or signing their paperwork.  Take this opportunity to remind them that they could be doing themselves a disservice by not finishing their application before October 18th.  The new look-back could potentially push their pension back by 3 years, or more.

We want you to know everything you need to know about the good and bad of the new rule changes.  Some of which will change how we process new VA Pension applications.  For detailed information on what these rules mean to you and your clients we urge everyone to sign up for our Fall Conference for Attorneys set for October 24th-25th  or our Fall Conference for Case Managers set for November 14th-15th at our Roswell, Georgia office.  You can sign up for either conference by calling us at 1.888.928.2779 OR 1.678.461.7848. You can also make a reservation by emailing us at contact@avapp.org .
